To design and develop a 3-week mock-up minicourse featuring lectures, video demonstrations, scenario-based learning and interactive tasks, assessments, and the creation of learning resources. This course aims to enhance the existing in-person professional development training with the incorporation of eLearning components.
Teachers find it challenging to retain all the content and materials presented in the in-person workshops.
I assessed the situation and identified the teachers' needs, drawing on my expertise in early childhood education to set the course learning objectives, develop the content, and create diverse multimodal learning resources. Additionally, I utilized educational technologies to create an online course that enhances their learning experiences and understanding of the approach.
The needs assessment included initial consultations with the organization's education head, kindergarten principals, and teachers to gain insights into their needs and expectations.
The initial design of this project began as a rough outline in a mind map to organize and map out the key topics and structure of the minicourse, consisting of three modules.
I utilized text-based slides to outline the storyboard for each page of the course site.
This process involved creating the site using Articulate Rise 360, which included producing audio tracks, demonstration videos, text-based lecture materials, and interactive tasks such as scenarios, discussion boards on Padlet, and assessments.
